Tapioca pearls are also known as boba and sago in some cultures. It is produced by passing the moist starch from cassava root through a sieve under pressure. Pearl tapioca is a common ingredient in Asian desserts such as falooda, kolak, tapioca pudding, and in sweet drinks such as bubble tea, fruit slush and taho, where they provide a chewy contrast to the sweetness and texture of the drink. In the Philippines they use it for it for “magtataho” and is a very common street food

  • + How to use

    It is very easy to cook this delicious food!
    All you need to do is
    1. Boil water in a large pot.

    2. Add in the tapioca pearls to boiling water. 
    3. Stir initially to prevent tapioca from sticking to the bottom of the pot. The tapioca pearls should float in the water. 
    4. Boil for about 25 minutes with the cover on.
    5. Turn the heat off and let the tapioca sit in the water for another 25 minutes. 
    6. Rinse the cooked tapioca pearls in warm water and drain out the water. 
    7. Add your prefered ingredients to make your favourite dessert. 
    Enjoy a fantastic dessert!
