Throughout history, people have believed that hazelnuts have mystical powers. Their branches were used as divining rods to locate underground springs and buried treasure! Well…there is treasure in every one of our hazelnut shells and they have the power to make you feel amazing!
The hazel is a small deciduous tree that originated in southern Europe and Turkey. The sweet-tasting, cream-coloured kernels are spherical with a thin brown skin. Unlike other fruiting trees, the hazelnut tree blooms and pollinates in the middle of winter.
We can trace these delicious nuts back more than 5000 years and today, hazelnuts are cultivated in many parts of the world including Australia where we source our superior nuts in shell from. We also supply from Turkey, where there is a plentiful supply of nuts meeting our stringent quality standards. We source only the very best of these sweet and tasty treats!
