Marjoram is a small herb very similar to oregano with a mildly savoury, grassy, slight pine flavour, similar to thyme but milder. The taste and pungency of marjoram is increased when dried and is a valuable component of many Mediterranean dishes, including pasta sauces and casseroles.

    It works well as a flavoring agent in sausages, lamb, beef, pork, chicken, fish, tomato dishes, stuffings, breads, salad dressings, and chowders. It is best used sparingly and blends well with other herbs, such as our mixed Italian herbs.
