Chana dal is a split Bengal gram with a sweet and nutty flavour - the most popular legume in India. Channa Dhal is made from blanched and split brown chickpeas. Taking slightly longer to cook than most other dhals, Channa Dhal forms a robust, textured dhal when cooked, compared to the smooth texture of most other kinds. Our Channa Dhal are the tiny chickpeas which have been split and polished into a smooth form. This particular legume is available throughout the year.
